Coming soon this Autumn is the long-awaited exhibition of the work of Charles and Ray Eames, who as fellow modernists will know, are among the most important designers of the 20th century. This new exhibition at the Barbican is a new survey of the broad output of their office and influence on modern design.
The extensive exhibition is due to present the Eames world through objects and projects produced during their lifetime including film, multi-channel slideshows, photography, furniture, products, drawings, sculpture, painting, graphic design, models, props, and exhibition and installation artefacts.
All beautiful, original items and not a modern chair copy in sight.
An essential London day out, can’t wait! The exhibition runs from 21 October 2015 – 14 February 2016.
